Jake Paul’s next opponent is said to be Anderson Silva

It appears that Jacques Paul has his next opponent after the failure of the past two fights, and according to a new report, it will be none other than Anderson Silva. according to TMZ SportsThe former UFC middleweight champion has registered to be Paul’s next challenger, and the match is expected to take place in October, although there is no known exact date at this time. No official announcement has been made yet, but Silva will be Paul’s biggest opponent to date if it ends and he will break Silva’s record 3-1 against Paul’s 5-0 record.

Paul was originally supposed to fight his next fight against Tommy Fury, which was the second time that fight was supposed to happen, but again it fell out. Then Paul was supposed to fight Hashim Rahman Jr, and the fight was scheduled for August 6, but the fight was canceled due to weight problems related to Rahman’s side.

In the past, Paul has racked up victories over Ben Screen and Tyrone Woodley, both UFC fighters, and has also defeated Nate Robinson in a previous fight. Silva is one of the most accomplished UFC fighters of all time with wins over Vitor Belfort, Chael Sonnen, Dan Henderson and many more.

During a previous interview with Jimmy Kimmel this year, legendary Mike Tyson discussed the possibility of Paul boxing, and while he hadn’t taken it seriously before, he said a fight between them could be interesting.

“I didn’t take it seriously, but this could be really interesting. He’s skilled enough, yeah, I’ll give it to him, he’s skilled enough because he keeps winning,” Tyson told the host. “Even if he’s fighting men you don’t think are good enough fighters, they should be able to defeat him, but they can’t. So he’s hitting people he really shouldn’t hit, we have to give him that credit.”
