Ace Steele, AEW’s behind-the-scenes coach, ended up playing a pivotal role this week AEW Dynamite The AEW World Championship match between CM Punk and Jon Moxley. Steele reportedly apologized once backstage and agreed to pay a fine that was handed to him. The said fine will be donated to charities. Steele’s willingness to take responsibility was welcome.
Punk will now face Moxley in last week’s Dynamite rematch, in which he lost after just three minutes of a worsening foot injury that kept him on the shelf for months. He now has a chance to become the two-time AEW World Champion outside of his hometown of Chicago.
