What’s not clear is whether certain devices in the Apple Watch 8 support Low Power Mode, or whether it will be a watchOS 9 feature that came with older watchOS 9 supported devices. Now, we doubt the Apple Watch 8’s battery will last anything longer than two days, but 36 hours would be an exciting threshold.

No rumors have given a true estimate of Apple Watch 8 Pro battery life. Ideally, we want an Apple Watch that lasts two full days, but any improvement over the Apple Watch 8 would be welcome. It would also help justify Apple Watch 8 pricing rumors that the Pro model could cost around $999.
