The Nigerian Army has announced that it will start a range classification exercise in Imo State. The Nigerian Army’s 34th Artillery Brigade, Obenzi in Owerri said the exercises will start on Monday 5th September, and will continue till 9th September, and advised Imo residents to stay away from the range area for the duration of the exercise.

In the report by PM Online News, Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, Captain Joseph Akubo, said the exercise will involve the use of live weapons and ammunition, and civilians should avoid areas around the small arms firing range, Ubenzi. Barracks in Imo State.

The exercise, which is an annual exercise, aims to test the effectiveness of the military in handling weapons and their ability to shoot, and is scheduled to start at 6 am and end at 6 pm daily.
Capt. Joseph Akubo said – “Residents of Uopenzi and the surrounding communities are strongly advised to stay away from the Range area during the mentioned period.”
