Buhari government suspends 5% exercise fee on telecom

The federal government has suspended the implementation of the 5% production tax on telecom facilities proposed by FG earlier.
The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Issa Bantami, revealed this on Monday when he inaugurated a committee to review the 5% excise tax.
Speaking during the inauguration of the committee on review of the 5% excise tax in the telecom sector, Bantami said that President Buhari had agreed to the immediate moratorium on the 5% excise tax.
