Cobra Kai Season 5 (Netflix)
Once again, the soul of the valley itself is ready to take possession – and good can only triumph over evil through karate. Well, sure, Cobra Kai is making some ridiculous bets for what kids basically do martial arts. But it’s fun, has some laughs and is a (loud) nostalgic kick. In Season 5, friends-turned-ally Daniel Larseau (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) team up to take down infamous karate team Terry Silver.
It franchises dojos across the valley with a team of cold-blooded teachers all about instilling the motto “No Mercy” in their students. Daniel enlists the help of another former competitor, Chuzen (Yuji Okumoto), but Johnny is distracted by personal issues. In addition, resentment continues to breed among the students, threatening an already tenuous partnership.
