Although Amazon Prime Video has set exact Friday release dates for all of its feature films and TV shows like The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, most fans have gotten used to the early drops from the streaming device. Take The Rings of Power for example, the series has long been dedicated to a September 2 release date, but in fact debuted its first two episodes a little earlier on the evening of September 1st. Now that it’s trained its audience, and the most die-hard fan, those episodes will be available early, Prime Video has already pulled it off because Episode 3 of The Rings of Power is nowhere to be found, and fans are taking note.
Confirmed in an August press release, Prime Video announced that while the first two episodes of rings of strength It will arrive at 6PM PT/9PM ET on September 1, and every other episode of the show’s first season will arrive three hours later at 9PM PT/12AM ET. According to the streamer, “Episodes will be releasing around the world at the same time, so all fans can watch them simultaneously. The finale of the eight-episode first season will air on October 14.” Despite this news, fans didn’t get the memo, and have been tearing up social media to see more of the series. The new series can only be streamed on Amazon Prime Video, whether it’s directly through a web browser or on the Prime Video app on a smart TV or other device.
