Cobra Kai, the martial arts series that sequel to the original Karate Kid films, is launching its fifth season very soon. Production for the fifth season began in late summer 2021 and filming ended on December 19. According to writer and director Hayden Schlossberg, this season will finally answer the long-awaited question of what would have happened if Daniel lost the All Valley Karate Championship in The Karate Kid Part III. However, this is not the only joke that Schlossberg and his team leave for fans.
According to Josh Held, co-founder of Cobra Kai along with Schlossberg and Jon Hurwitz, Season 5 will delve deeper into the origins of the scrolls, especially the pass Chozen gave Daniel in Season 3. The season will explore the relationship between Robby and Johnny further, and multiple characters like Devon and Moon will get more screen time.
