Through her availability to the media, she also discussed how story plays a role when choosing roles. The character may actually take a bit of a back seat to the general narrative.
“For me, at this point, it’s really all about the story,” Thorne said. “That’s what many of us entering this profession think. What attracts you is the ability to tell stories that mean something to people. In high school, the motto was Empathy, Empowerment, or Educate, and that’s what I’m still committed to today. So I hope to participate in A story does that. There are real people with real stories and real emotions at their core. Even if it’s not mine or your experience, it gives someone the opportunity to change; the opportunity to expand their minds or learn in a new way.
