This is a significant increase over the price PS5 players would have paid for these limited edition games when they were initially launched.

However, there are some important things to point out – first, these reviews are for US versions of these games.

The most expensive PS3 game is the Last of Us Post Pandemic Edition, with this limited edition of the classic survival horror game Naughty Dog – released in the US – worth close to £1600 new.

In terms of UK releases, the most expensive PS3 game released in Blighty is the collector’s edition of Drakengard 3.

This rare PlayStation 3 game is valued at approximately £650.

The second most expensive PS3 game released in the UK is the Prepare to Die Zavvi steelbook version of the original Dark Souls.

This special edition of the beloved game FromSoftware is worth nearly £375.

Another rare PS2 game released in the UK is Kuon, a scary horror game set during the Heian era in Japan made by FromSoftware developers Dark Souls and Demon Souls.

The new version of the UK edition of the Kuon is valued at over £500.

Once again, when it comes to PS1, the most expensive game released worldwide has been released for the UK console, breaking the trend seen in other PlayStations.

The most expensive PS1 game is Cindy’s Fashion World, with a brand new version of this game worth over £3,000.

While the pricey PS1 game released in the UK is the limited edition Castlevania Symphony of the Night – with a remake of the Konami classic worth around £1,300.

Elsewhere, when it comes to hardware if you have a British version of PlayStation Net Yaroze, you’re also in the money.

This system from Sony – which has allowed home gamers to build their own PS1 games and has been crucial to the development of the indie gaming scene – is worth nearly £3,000 new.
