Matt Riddle still had a black eye from the match with Seth Rollins

Matt Riddle came away from Seth Rollins in Clash in the castle Last weekend, and he still has the sparkle to prove it. Rollins was able to outsmart the former UFC star throughout the match, getting into his head repeatedly using moves from Randy Orton’s arsenal. He tricked Riddell into walking straight into Curb Stomp late in the game, then nailed the action back off the second rope to capture the victory.

Riddle indicated he wanted revenge in a tweet on Saturday, posting a photo showing his black eye. “The Original Bro” didn’t wrestle on Raw this week, although he did face Omos at a home show in Colorado Springs Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Rollins gave a new interview with Ryan Satin on Out of Character Podcast this week and talked about the differences in working with Vince McMahon and Triple H. His onscreen character’s first name has emerged.

“I trusted Vince, but getting fresh air is really good,” Rollins said. “With Vince, it was a double-edged sword: You knew exactly who you were going to, and there was safety in that…If you get a yes from him, then nothing else matters. On the other side of that, he was all over the place. He was That was part of his genius, but it was also very stressful.”

He later added, “He just started the chessboard with all his pieces damaged.” “Right now, he’s just putting all of his pieces in place, and then we’ll go on the march… It’s a huge and very sudden change, which has put all of us in full swing, Triple H included. But I’m very excited to see what the future will look like in the future. In three to six months… This isn’t a hit on Vince. It’s just, exciting new… It’s like stepping into a parallel world.”

WWE returns to pay-per-view on October 8 with an Extreme Rules event at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The show’s only confirmed match to date is Liv Morgan against Ronda Rousey at the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
