According to a new report from TMZEmil and his wife Roswell, New Mexico Star Cassandra Jane Amell is suing her neighbors, Kristen Stavola and Jeremy Gardiner, for their animal adoption business. Stavola and Gardiner run a building and cementing company called Rescues Rock Inc. from their home, which is next door to the Amells home in Los Angeles. According to the documents he obtained TMZAmell’s lawsuit alleges that Rescues Rock Inc. She harbors upwards of 60 animals on her property, including at least eighteen dogs, and may do so illegally, as the neighborhood is intended for housing only.
Amell, who previously played Oliver Queen / Green Arrow ArrowThe lawsuit also states that the animals make noises at all hours of the day, disturbing his and his family’s sleep. He also reportedly objects to the animals’ smell, and claims that some of the dogs sheltered by Rescues Rock Inc. disease tolerance. Stavola and Gardiner have reportedly lived near the Amels family since 2015. Court documents reportedly claim that Amell tried to speak with Stavola and Gardiner, unsuccessfully, leading him to seek legal action.
Screenwriter Zach Staines, whose daughter is a volunteer with Rescues Rock, recently took to Twitter to describe Amell’s lawsuit as “extremely disturbing,” and claim that the company is in fact a city-licensed nonprofit.

“This is very disturbing,” Steins tweeted. “My daughter has volunteered for this animal rescue operation for over two years and has found it a professional and well-managed place that works with the Los Angeles Shelter System to provide emergency care to some of the most vulnerable and endangered animals in the county… I hope Mr. Amell will reconsider his attack on a beloved neighborhood institution In the Laurel Valley you do irreplaceable work helping some of the most needy animals in Los Angeles County.”
The Amels family recently welcomed their second child, a son named Bowen August Amell, in May this year. Stephen recently starred in Starz heelswhich filmed its second season earlier this year.
