Avatar: Another Airbender The series has seen a huge boom to itself lately, as it has followed a renewed life on streaming platforms like Netflix and Paramount+, the franchise has found a whole new audience of fans who got to experience the classic animated series for the first time. Now the franchise is ready to expand with a whole new slate of projects including new plans for movies and animated series, and Netflix has a new live action adaptation in the works too.
Both the animation and animation efforts will introduce fans to a whole new look for Aaag as they interpret the events of the original animated series in new ways, which also means it’s time to look back and see how far Aang has come previously. Artist Low Cost Cosplay is bringing just that on Instagram with a hilarious new shot of Aang that has gone viral with fans in a way that he likely won’t appear in any of these new upcoming fan efforts in the future. It’s yet to be revealed when Avatar Studios’ new animation projects will be implemented, but Netflix is a bit close to releasing its new live-action adaptation. Netflix has not yet set a window or release date for the new series, but the current cast for Netflix’s live action Avatar: Another Airbender The series includes Gordon Cormier as Aang the Avatar, Kiawentiio Tarbell as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Zuko, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Iroh, Elizabeth Yu Daniel as Azula, and Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai, Maria Zhang as Suki, Ken Leong as Commander Chow, Lim Kai Seo as Jyutsu, Yvonne Chapman as Avatar Kiyoshi, and more.
As for what to expect, Netflix describes the new live-action series as such “The series will be an original adaptation of the award-winning and beloved Nickelodeon animated series. Avatar: The last plane Reimagined as a living adventure. Albert Kim (Sleepy Hollow, Nikita) serves as producer, executive producer, and writer. Besides Kim, Dan Lin of Rideback (The Lego Movie, Aladdin) and Lindsey Liberatore (Walker) serve as executive producers as well as Michael Goi (Swamp Thing, American Horror Story). Goi, Roseanne Liang (also co-executive producer), Jabbar Raisani and Jet Wilkinson directly.”
