The last time TV viewers saw Lex Luthor transforming into a demon on the small screen, it was for super girlseries finale, with Jon Cryer portraying the famous DC villain. Before that, the criminal mastermind was seen as a kid via flashback in titansSeason two, with Pine Novak in the role. Now, the action-packed HBO Max series has confirmed it’s bringing the full adult version of Lex into Season 4, always with a standout. sons of anarchy veterinarian and bush Superstar Titus Williver brings this one-of-a-kind version to life.
What’s more, we already know what Welliver’s Lex Luthor would look like, as he’s front and center (or more to the left, I think) in the first big season 4 reveal that titans Delivered. check the Twitter post below!

There’s clearly some takeaways we can get from this first peek at Lex Luthor from Titus Williver. First, he shakes his expected bald head often associated with a villain, and it’s almost shocking to see the actor with nothing on top. But then we get to that dirty AF beard, which is quite the evolution from the tightly-wrapped “stache-and-goatee” that Cryer wore in the Arrowverse. In fact, this may be the most facial hair the character has rocked in any medium outside of comic books. It’s an intriguing shaggy look for the smartest man in the world, and it’s not quite that far from Jonathan Crane’s style of facial hair in Season 3.
Anyway, the third takeaway here is that it’s going in apparently titansThe story is not yet in the form of a supervillain. Otherwise, Anna Diop’s Starfire would likely be a few more shades of anger or sadness standing opposite Lex, rather than smiling with her hands clasped together. Kinda seems to be asking him for something, which is likely related to the hero fight in season 4 The new villain is blood brotheras photographed by Joseph Morgan.
talk with EWAnd the titansCo-creator and model Greg Walker shared a little background information about Lex Luthor, saying:
Greg Walker also talked about being a big season for Joshua Urpin’s Conner, who has figured out the details of his Superboy origin story being a clone created from both Superman and Lex Luthor DNA. So fans can almost certainly expect Titus Welliver’s arrival to be tied directly to Conner’s story, although the potentially major villain won’t be limited to just one plot.
Speaking of Welliver, who made his career out of playing unforgettable characters on testosterone-heavy shows like sons of anarchyAnd the dead woodAnd the NYPD BlueAnd the last ship, For example, but not limited. He’s spent the better part of the past decade filming Harry Bosch for an Amazon Prime Video drama based on Michael Connelly’s novels, while appearing in Marvel’s poetry via Shield Agents and the star Wars-Versa cross The MandalorianActor apparently truly Likes titans.
Walker explained that while he thought he would have to convince Williver to jump ship as Lex Luthor, Lost Looks like the vet took over the conversation by talking about both his comic fandom and his own love for titans The series, so much so that it detailed specific footage and scenes during their conversation. Hopefully this love will shine through in his performance, as he has some huge and very expensive shoes to fill.
