Cypress murder convict-turned-banned masseur Jimmy Simerskey’s parole under review, Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice says!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – The parole of a convicted killer, who has been banned for life from practicing massage therapy in Texas, is under review.

Amanda Hernandez, director of communications for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, confirmed Monday that Jamie Semersky, 50, is on parole after allegations of sexual misconduct and sexual assault.

Simerskey, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for murder in 1999, has been at the center of many ABC13 stories. He is on parole until May 2024.

Last month, Eyewitness News reported that the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) banned Simerskey for life from practicing and teaching massage therapy after it was discovered he had engaged in sexual misconduct with clients during massage sessions.

Some of what is contained in the Agreed Order, signed by Simerskey, is portraying too much for television.

The TDLR confirmed the progress of many women. A woman alleging sexual assault. ABC13 spoke to two of the alleged victims.

“He was just setting me up for knowing what I was okay with, ‘A 27 year old woman He said. “I still struggle with it. I still have nightmares.”

In addition to the parole review, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirms that a criminal investigation is underway.

Simerskey did not respond to ABC13’s repeated requests for comment. The lawyer, who represented him in the murder charge, said he had not spoken to Simersky in years.

Simerskey last worked caring for your family chiropractors in Cypress. Dr. Walter Hickman, a chiropractor, said he was trying to give Simersky a second chance when they hired him.
