Inside Out 2 Officially Confirmed By Pixar!

Talk about near and dear news. In a big shocker at Disney’s massive D23 Expo, the Pixar board recently revealed something huge: the mind-boggling live-action studio has officially settled on Inside 2, the sequel to Pixar’s acclaimed 2015 second film. It was introduced to audiences in mid-2024 – nearly 10 years after its initial release – by Bliss herself, Amy Poehler.

Until further notice, the film has just a near 2 (and may remain so). Pete Docter won’t be back to make it easy, but that commitment goes to boss Kelsey Mann, who fearlessly steps up to her task for the first time, perfecting perhaps Pixar’s farthest outing yet. Meg LeFauve, co-writer of the main film, returns to duties as creator of Imprint Nielsen.

Most of the nuances are quiet for now – anyway, we can’t rule out that Poehler will be back (obviously) and reset with Riley as a youngster this time. The period brings forth a great number of new feelings – so we’ll get another collection of feeling characters here too. It’s just not yet clear what their identity is unequivocally.

Anyway, how can we feel now? There’s Satisfaction, of course, and we could at any moment be as candid as a Dread about how it all pans out – but we trust Pixar. Fingers crossed it won’t be trouble, hate and anger any time soon.
