The fall of Babylon stops after less than a year at all

After much fanfare and communication from developers fall of Babylon It wasn’t, in fact, dead and will continue to be supported, today developer PlatinumGames and publisher Square Enix announced that fall of Babylon He is, in fact, dead and will continue to be supported from now on. More specifically, fall of Babylon He is set to retire on February 28, 2023.

Of course, this announcement should come as no surprise to many. Earlier this year, fall of Babylon It had a single player logged in on Steam a few months after its launch. At another point, there was absolutely nothing there. The developers previously extended the video game’s second season in order to re-evaluate and address issues with the title, but while season two will end on November 29, there will be no more large-scale updates planned beforehand.

“With the desire to offer an exhilarating online multiplayer role-playing game in an elaborate fantasy world, we launched the game’s official service on Thursday, March 3, 2022, and continued with additional development and operations,” Official Announcement Partially read. “However, we deeply regret to inform you that we will be terminating the game on February 27, 2023.”

After the game retires in February 2023, it will no longer be playable. In addition, the Hanging Garden player site will be closed at that time and all game data will be deleted after that fall of Babylon Close. Sales of the game’s token cryptocurrency, Garaz, have been suspended as of today and sales of the Premium Battle Pass will end on November 29th when fall of BabylonThe final season begins.

As mentioned above, fall of Babylon It’s officially set to close on February 27, 2023 at 11 PM PT – making it 2 AM ET the next day. For now, the game remains playable on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC for anyone who previously purchased it, but sales of the digital version have ceased as well as new sales of the physical version on retailer sites.
