The last eleven verbs of american talents Season 17 officially presented their last performances, and judging who gets the million dollar and Las Vegas theatrical prize is in the hands of the voters. The ending marked the much-anticipated return of country singer Drake Milligan, who stunned judges and voters in the first week of the playoffs with his second original song of the season. In the end, Milligan went back to his first original AGT the test. While speaking with CinemaBlend, he explained why he hadn’t changed it to a new song.
Milligan sang his way to the end in August with Kiss Goodbye All Night, but it was his first single AGT The picnic “sounds like something I do”. Fans may have expected him to continue in that direction and perform another original song, but instead he went on to perform another song, “Sounds Like Something I’d Do.” (You can go back to the former with a Peacock subscription.) After his time on stage at the end, talk to CinemaBlend and other outlets. When I asked why he chose this song to bring it back in exchange for Kiss Goodbye All Night and if there was any alternative, he shared:
While AGT Viewers had already seen “Sounds Like Something I’d Do,” during Drake Milligan’s audition, when he and his band were on stage for the pre-recorded broadcast. The qualifiers were straightforward, and they were definitely over the top in the best way. “Kiss Goodbye All Night” nailed so well that Simon Cowell congratulated him for not quitting AGT (And Milligan explained why he made that choice); Coming back to the audition song for the end gave him the opportunity to go bigger and bolder.
It was actually somewhat similar to what NBC did earlier this year American Song Contest, which saw singers return to upload the same song over and over again. The american talents The judges certainly didn’t make a decision against Drake Milligan, with Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel both praising him for bringing him back “Sounds Like Something I Do” for the second round. In case you missed it (or just want to try it again), take a look!
If you want to see Drake Milligan win the $1 million first prize and a stage show in Las Vegas, you can help by voting for him via the official american talents app and/or NBC.com voting page. Although he was definitely one of the stars of the night, the competition was very intense in the end. No fewer than four Golden Bell winners have returned: saxophonist Avery Dixon (who was the first to receive a Golden Bell in Season 17), dance group Mayas, the impudent singing trio Chapel Hart, and 14-year-old Polish powerhouse Sarah James, who was Simon Cowell’s choice.
Plus, underbelly spokeswoman Celia Munoz hasn’t back out yet AGT Viewers gave her the votes she needed to come back, and her last performance was a far cry from her fat Tribute…not in a bad way! Pole dancer Kristi Cellars kicked off the night with a stunning figure, which she had to amass over the course of a week after trying a new trick on the live show last Tuesday.
Find out which performer will receive the first prize with the presentation of the final results american talents Season 17 on Wednesday, September 14 at 9 PM ET on NBC, and be sure to cast your votes ASAP, as voting closes at 7 AM ET.
