The Smiths vacation takes an unexpected turn in a new American dad clip (EXCLUSIVE)

American Dad is back with a brand new episode, and we got an exclusive first look at the new episode. The Smiths try to go on vacation, but things take a turn when they seem to be taken over, and the new people in charge look to get along with the rest of Earth’s citizens. That leads to a lot of TV watching to figure out which way is better, leading to Gold Top chants, unworkable outfits, and new names, though we’re not sure if the Lighthouse, Can or Murphy Brown names will end up selling. Everyone. You can watch the new clip in the video above.

In the end, they end up in a restaurant and as you can imagine, that doesn’t go as expected either, especially since everything from Murphy Brown isn’t exactly up to date. However, you can do much worse than reboot Murphy Brown. You can watch the full clip in the video above. You can find the official description of American Dad below.

“American Dad!” Focuses on super-nationalist CIA agent Stan Smith (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) and the corrupt adventures of his unorthodox family in Langley Falls, Virginia. Stan applies the same rigorous procedures used in his CIA job to his home life, as Stan’s unconscious wife Francine (Wendy Schaal) happily enjoys a loyalty that makes her blind to his unabashed arrogance. However, his left-wing activist daughter Hayley (Rachel MacFarlane) doesn’t let him out easily and only knows how to push her dad’s buttons, unlike her stupid, well-meaning husband Jeff (Jeff Fisher) who doesn’t know much of anything.

Son Steve (Scott Grimes) is an eccentric but confident kid who spends his time playing video games and obsessing over the opposite sex. Smith’s closet is rounded out by two somewhat unorthodox members: Roger (McFarlane), a rude, cynical and routinely ill-fitting space alien, and Klaus (Die Bradley Becker), an attention-hungry goldfish and the mind of a German Olympic skater. “

Tonight’s new episode of American Dad airs on TBS at 10 PM.
