Those with higher than average energy consumption will see higher payments for this warranty, which is the largest cost per unit of electricity and gas. Direct payment tariffs to meet energy costs on October 1 were announced yesterday. A month from now, the single rates for electricity and gas will be 34.00p and 10.30p per kWh respectively.
