After a fan vote, it was revealed that NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes on tonight’s NXT One Year anniversary would be Wes Lee, but then Hayes and Trick Williams attacked Lee before the match and handed a brutal defeat. They stepped on him, kicked him and even hit his head against the closet door, and when it was time for the match, he said there was no opponent to fight. That’s when Solo Sikoa’s music hits and the newest member of Bloodline shows up, telling Hayes he’s got the next, and they’ll start a match. Then Sikoa shocked everyone when he installed Hayes and gave The Bloodline another championship title, odds are we’ll see him soon on SmackDown, but will Hayes follow suit? We have to wait and see.
Hayes swung out but Sequa sent the champ over his head and to the other side of the mat. Hayes then returned with another move but Sequoia shook it and threw Hayes into the corner. He advanced forward but Hayes evaded him and cornered him but then threw Sequoia Hayes over the top rope on Williams below.

Sikoa got Hayes back in the ring and continued to attack the champ, but every time Hayes made a comeback, Sikoa would put a stop to him, hitting him with a header and a monster slap in the face. He rolled Hayes again in the ring and then pounced on Williams, hitting Sequoia’s previously injured knee on the arena.
Hayes surrendered and went on to attack the knee and shin, then hit a lump that severed Sequoia’s leg and went for cover, but was sent off. Hayes then closed the surrender and used a brace on Sequoia’s knee to help anchor the fixation, and as soon as it broke he closed it again. Sikoa reached for the ropes to break his grip and Hayes went for him again, but Sikoa pushed him away.
Hayes jumped up and grabbed Sequoia and dealt more blows to his body, then hit a monster-piercing kick and a Samoan drop on Hayes. He lined up a charge in the thigh and then lifted Hayes but Williams stepped in again and helped Hayes hit the ground. Hayes hit Sikoa again but stayed on his feet, then Sikoa grabbed Hayes again and hit him with a cap, but Hayes was sent off.
Sequoia kicked Williams and then grabbed and hit Hayes, then went upstairs and collided with Hayes and made the cover. He got the number three and the win, and now Sequoia is the new North American Champion.
