Kojima Productions has started teasing what is expected to be the developer’s next game, with a mystery game website Appears with a shaded face with the caption “Who am I?”.
The site has not yet been recognized by the official social media accounts of Hideo Kojima or Kojima Productions. However, one of Kojima’s close friends and Summer Game Fest organizer, Geoff Keighley, tweeted on the site.
Keighley simply tweeted a question mark, followed by the link to the Kojima Productions website, where a photo of a woman with her face shaded can be seen. He wrote a comment on the mysterious face, “Who am I?”.
Numerous responses to Keighley’s tweet managed to conclude that the mysterious woman in the picture could be Elle Fanning, an American actress best known for her roles in Maleficent, Super 8 and many others. Fans also noted that Norman Reedus, Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding star, recently started following Fanning on Instagram.
Reedus recently let the public know that he and Kojima Productions are currently developing a sequel to Death Stranding. Whether or not this will be Kojima’s next game is currently unknown.
While it’s not certain that the obscure website is dedicated to a new game, it’s unlikely that Kojima Productions will tease anything other than its next project. It was previously leaked by industry insider Tom Henderson that Kojima’s next game will be called “Overdose,” and it will be an Xbox exclusive cloud game.
Kojima himself has confirmed in the past that he will work with Xbox Studios to create a cloud-based title, but he hasn’t gone into details about the game’s name or when it will be released. But with the Game Awards coming out at the end of the year, we’ll likely get an official announcement of Kojima’s next match.
