Earlier today, WWE’s newest signing Logan Paul started teasing a big announcement on SmackDown tonight, and now we might have a pretty good indication of what that announcement might be. Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Watcher She reported that WWE will hold a press conference in Las Vegas on Saturday to announce the main event for Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, and the main event will be Roman Reigns vs Logan Paul. We should get more clarity during tonight’s SmackDown, as Paul will at least be there, although it’s unknown if Reigns will appear on the show yet.
The match makes a lot of sense if you follow Reigns and Paul on Twitter. Reigns recently jumped on the Paul’s Impaulsive podcast and had a great chat with them about Paul’s early months in WWE and Reigns’ journey to becoming the biggest superstar in WWE. After that interview, things started to fluctuate, as Paul said he wanted a one-on-one match with Reigns.
He said he wanted to confront him and knew he could hit him, then Reigns responded that Paul Heyman put Paul in his place and then got frustrated that the chief would take time to interview Paul just so he started talking after he left.
It looks like that’s the whole story now for their Crown Jewel match, and it should be interesting to see how people respond to the match.
