It’s finally time to watch Andor online, introducing the dawn of the rebellion. The series, which jumps a bit beyond Obi-Wan Kenobi’s show spot on the timeline, but not too far away, gives audiences deeper insights into rebellious pilot Cassian Andor, who was first introduced in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The series seems to differ from previous Star Wars shows in a very good way, too.

Unlike The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor is not about cool bounty hunters or power-wielding heroes. It’s about the people on the ground, how a push turns into a rolling, and how a push turns into saying “enough is enough.”
As seen in the Andor trailers, this show finds Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) before being recruited with the Rebellion. Looks like a hard-nosed Rael (Stellan Skarsgård) is the man who will bring Andor into the fold.
Elsewhere in the series, we know we’ll see Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker) and Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) returns. In terms of new characters, Kyle Soler tells audiences at D23 2022 that his character is one we’d love to hate, while we know Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve) plays Cassian’s acquaintance’s adopted mother.

Star Wars: Andor Trailers
The latest (and possibly final) full trailer for Endor is about assembling a rag group for Rebellion. It also hints that some are not more eager to go to war with the Galactic Empire than others.
Andor’s full official trailer offers a first glimpse of the returning Saw Gerrera, and reveals that Stellan Skarsgård’s Luthen Rael is a good guy:

Star Wars: Andor Cast
The Star Wars: Andor team is led by Diego Luna, who plays Cassian Jeron Andor, a soldier, pilot and intelligence officer for the Rebel Alliance. Alan Tudyk will reprise his voice role as Cassian’s robotic K-2SO owner.
Genevieve O’Reilly also reprises her long-running Star Wars role as Moon Muthma, the leader of the Rebel Alliance.
For the new faces, Stellan Skarsgård was chosen as Luthen Rael, who appears to be a founding member of the Rebel Alliance. But Fans on Reddit (Opens in a new tab) They speculate that he will play bounty hunter Dengar, who has appeared in the animated series The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and The Clone Wars.
Andor’s other cast members include Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, and Kyle Soller.
At D23, we learn that Soler is playing the villain. According to his words, his character is the latest in the “history of the villains you love to hate.”
Gael Garcia Bernal (Opens in a new tab), the co-actor of Luna from Y Tu Mamá También, was joking about how much he wanted to appear on the series as one of Andor’s “lost brother or something.” So tick this under “nice if it happens, but not a sure thing”.
Will other Rogue One members appear in Andorra? It’s highly unlikely that we’ll see any of Cassian’s actual Rogue One teammates, like Jen Erso (Felicity Jones) or Body Rock (Riz Ahmed). However, O’Reilly’s return as Mon Mothma gives us hope to see Jimmy Smits as Bail Organa.
Additionally, Hayden Christensen is reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. So it is not out of the realm of possibility that it can appear in Andor.
The sizzling reel denotes Andor’s breadth and depth, with the Creatures section working over 200 named characters.
Star Wars: Andor Conspiracy
The series takes place five years before the events of Rogue One, which takes place before the events of Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope.
The 2016 movie follows the story of a team of rebel fighters who embark on a dangerous mission to steal the building plans for the Death Star, a supernatural weapon destroying the planet of the Galactic Empire. As a longtime agent of Rebel, Cassian helps lead the mission along with Jyn Erso.
In Rogue One, Cassian revealed that he’s been fighting as a rebel since he was six, so Andor’s series could include flashbacks from his childhood.
We might also see the origin story of the Kasian K-2SO robot, a former Imperial Enforcement robot reprogrammed to aid the rebels.
