AEW Grand Slam Rampage wings revealed

AEW Grand Slam delivered two exciting hours of Dynamite tonight, and now that the show is off, it’s time to film this week’s Grand Slam episode of AEW Rampage. We’ve got plenty of spoilers about what happened during the show here, although if you’d prefer to enter unspoiled, you can definitely check out more about what happened during Dynamite tonight here. If you want to know what happened to get a show on Friday, we’ve got you covered, with ComicBook.com’s Liam Crowley in attendance, starting with the wrestling legend’s appearance to help Sting and Darby Allin against the House of Lions. Clearly spoilers are coming for Friday’s show so you’ve been warned.

Initially the match was between Sting and Darby Allin vs House of Black, Buddy Matthews and Brody King tried to get Sting out of the mix whenever they could. They sent Sting through two tables and he ended up hitting his head on one of them, and later in the match, his hands were tied in the ring. That’s when The Great Muta ended up making a shocking appearance and he fended off, sending Matthews to Earth.

Motta Matthews would hit the Fog later as well, and eventually Sting would have eliminated Matthews on a count of 3 and the win. Next came Action Bronson & Hawk, who was defending the FTW Championship against Angelo Parker and Matt Maynard. Bronson was well received by the crowd and made a superb shoulder save and punch throughout the match, even though Hawk was number one in the ring. Both will lock Tazmissions for JAS members to win.

Next, it was time for the AEW TBS Championship between champion Jade Cargill and Diamante, and while Cargill was on her baddies side, Diamante was on Trina’s side. At one point it looked as though Cargill’s knee hurt, but she was still able to get the job done and hit F5 on Diamante for the pin and win, and then Trina slapped Diamante and allyed with Cargill. We’ll probably see her down the line because that could definitely be interesting.

Then Mark Sterling goes out with Josh Woods and Tony Ness to face Wardlow and Samoa Joe, and Joe beats the Muscle Buster for the win, despite being attacked by Nese and Woods afterward. Wardlow tackles and then hits Sterling with a Powerbomb Symphony.

Then it was time for Jungle Boy vs Rey Fenix, and things started with a whole lot of Chops back and forth. They ended up getting a standing ovation at one point, and then the Fenix sped up into overdrive, nearly completing the Three Amigos and hitting a big Frog Splash for a close fall. Jungle Boy took on Muscle Buster in a small pack to win though, and that left Christian Cage with his arm in a sling. Luchasaurus was attacking his ex-partner, then Cage made a promo telling Jungle Boy not to come back while Luchasuaurs was standing on Jungle Boy’s neck, then Luchasaurus hit him to close out the night.
