“Well, I think the difference between writing screenplays, like live action, is usually… you’re going into the studio, and you’re doing the shows and they’re like, ‘Yeah, make this movie.'” You write it, and then the director comes after the fact. In animation, the motive came from Don, and Don brought me in. And so, I write. I would say I write a script in any other format, including television, ‘I don’t really write the perfect script.’ . I’m going to sell and do the show to Don and go, ‘Don, can you agree to this.’ I’m basically writing sequences, and I have to admit I feel rough, because I know there’s also a great team of story artists that I can collaborate with, so I got the basic idea . “
Nguyen added. “I work with them. I shoot my scene, and they hit it up. They put some of their own lines in there, take it back and then come back to it, so it feels like one story. It’s one story. So much more back and forth, more collaborative process.” Much more than just writing the script, giving up, doing on the script.She literally works with Don, working with the story artist, then the animators all the way, then with Jake [Gyllenhaal] Lucy [Liu] And our representatives in the room, they’re also getting better in the cabin, so it’s a much more fluid and collaborative process than just writing and moving it around. “

It’s very collaborative and we bounce things back and forth and that’s when it works best.
