Phil Spencer still wants Final Fantasy 14 on Xbox

While Xbox users can play a large number of titles in the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy XIV It remains exclusive to PlayStation and PC. Xbox chief Phil Spencer indicated in 2019 that he wanted to see an MMO come to Xbox, but nothing has changed after nearly three years. While Spencer offered nothing concrete, he offered little hope for those who still wished it could happen.

Final Fantasy XIV It’s been around for quite some time, but the game has seen a huge surge of interest over the past year, thanks in part to the prominent streamers on Twitch. For a short while, the interest was actually too big for Square Enix to handle, forcing the publisher to temporarily halt new sales of the game. Things have calmed down a bit since then, but the Xbox port could definitely lead to more players checking out the game.

Earlier this year, Square Enix laid out a 10-year roadmap for Final Fantasy XIVThe company has no plans to stop supporting it anytime soon. Of course, this roadmap didn’t include any plans for Xbox, but that could definitely change at some point.
