Alice in Borderland Finally returning with a new season after that massive cliffhanger with Season 1, Netflix has finally set the stage for the release of Season 2 via the streaming service with the first trailer teasing fans about upcoming killer games! The manga series took Haro Aso’s Game of Death, with prominent live adaptation director Shunsuke Sato at the helm, Alice in Borderland It was a huge hit with fans in 2020, but it left fans in a state of intense excitement. Fortunately, it wasn’t long until a second season was confirmed to begin.
Alice in Borderland Season two will go full circle as it hits Netflix sometime in December later this year. There’s no exact release date, and it’s not been revealed how many episodes the new season will run on, but there was the first trailer showing fans several new games in the mysterious new Shibuya that Arisu and Usagi are jumping into. It’s already been a tough road for them so far, and it looks like it’s only going to get worse. Check out the first trailer for Alice in Borderland Season two below:
The returning cast members for season two include Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya, Riisa Naka, Keita Machida, Sho Aoyagi, Nijiro Murakami, Dori Sakurada, Yuki Morinaga, Aya Asahina, and Ayaka Miyoshi. The new faces of this season include the likes of Yuri Tsunematsu, Hayato Isomura, Tomohisa Yamashita, Honami Sato, Kai Inouaki and Katsuya Maigoma. The new season is expected to begin with the second half of Haro Aso’s original manga series, and Shunsuke Sato is expected to return for the new season as well.
As for what fans can expect from the new season, Netflix is teasing Alice in Borderland Season 2 goes like this, “Arisu and Usagi must uncover the mysteries of Borderland in order to return to their world. Moving on from the shocking setting of empty Shibuya in Season 1, this season takes place in a devastated Shibuya covered in vegetation. Don’t miss a moment of this action-packed survival game Intense and exciting story!”
