In some ways, it’s still hard to believe that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have finally gotten married. Jay Shetty had the honor of directing Pennifer’s second wedding, and it looks like he’ll remember the special day for years to come. The podcast maker and former monk dropped his thoughts on this great occasion while talking to him ET. Speaking about his important role in the wedding, Shetty said:
I can tell you it’s an honor. She was very beautiful. I will allow them to participate more. But it was really special – it’s so sweet to celebrate love.
A wedding is an exciting day no matter which couple takes the trip down the aisle, but it’s hard to deny that in this case, there’s an extra layer of anticipation. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have had a long journey, so on their big day, there was bound to be a certain level of satisfaction not only on their part but from the audience as well. In the case of Jay Shetty, he has a previous connection with Lopez, having married four husbands while promoting her latest rom-com, marry me. Shetty went on to talk about his personal relationship with the pop icon:
I met Jennifer two years ago. It was absolutely wonderful. We’ve collaborated a few times and I have to meet Ben during the process, which [was] Fabulous.
Since then, a number of the couple’s close friends have focused on aspects of the wedding. Chief among them was director Kevin Smith, who recently worked with The Groom third clerks.
