Chicago BDThe longest running on/off again at this point is none other than Kim Burgess and Adam Rosick, who manage to create a small family unit with a daughter in Season 9 but are no longer romantically together. Rosick wanted to buy his father’s house for Burgess and McKayla so that their young daughter would have a happy place to grow up, but Season 10 premiere He did not indicate that their relationship had changed. Now, Marina Squerciati has opened up about what’s hurting the relationship between her character and Ruzek, and it looks like there’s still hope.
Marina Squerciati spoke to the press for a comeback Chicago BD to me 2022 TV scheduleincluding her thoughts on where to fit Burgess The theme of the tenth season is “The Savior”. When asked what fans will see of her character in Season 10, the actress shared:
Burgess is shot and left for dead in the Season 8 finale, and her trauma is addressed early in Season 9 before the Burgess storylines turn to focus more on McKella, with a custody battle and then a desperate search After she was kidnapped. While some time has passed since then PD I touched on this development (and the tenth season premiere was all about what Model Gwen Seguin described the ‘chaotic’ dynamic Between Upton, Halstead, and Voight), it would appear a little more… and it hurt Burzek’s relationship.
So why is there any hope from what Marina Squiresati had to say about her character who is still haunted by what she’s been through? The actress revealed that Burgess will “make a decision either way” about Rosick in Episode Two, which is hardly a guarantee that Burzek will be back together by the time the credits begin. What that means is that fans won’t have to wait months in Season 10 for some answers about where they are, and where Burgess wants them to stand ahead.
If previous seasons have shown anything, it’s that Burgess and Ruzek are pretty good at picking up on each other when they feel broken…unless they’re fighting brutally over a joint trauma, like when Makayla was kidnapped. Things were said at that time can not be saidEven their return to good relations by the end of Season 9 was impressive. The time jump from the end of Season 9 to the Season 10 premiere was also only two weeks, so it follows that there weren’t any noticeable changes.
whether PD Jumping ahead sooner or later to keep up with the present might make a difference, but fans can’t help but wait and see on that front. It looks like the next episode will be Burzek-centric, and pretty rough for both of them. Take a look at the promo to see what happens on September 28th:
