RodeoHouston reveals Conroe Texas native country singer Parker McCollum as 2023 Opening Day entertainer!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – We’re just five months away from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and on Thursday, we found out about opening day plans!

RodeoHouston announced the artist who will be asking us to do a shoe dance on opening day. Can we have a drum machine, please?

It’s country singer-songwriter Parker McCollum!

McCollum was born in Conroe and released his first single in 2013, according to his website.

He actually took the big stage in March at the 2022 Rodeo.

While we don’t know RodeoHouston’s full concert slate yet, this lineup usually comes out in January, and one fan said he’d hope to see Alan Jackson.

Opening day next year is February 28. The event will run until March 19 at NRG.

In 2022, it was a big deal as it celebrated the rodeo’s 90th anniversary, as well as returning to work after cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
