Ryan Reynolds and the Mint Mobile team with AriZona Iced Tea for Hilarious Bundle Commercial

In addition to being an actor, producer, co-owner of the football club and social media icon, Ryan Reynolds has become somewhat of a marketing expert. His companies, including Aviation Gin and Mint Mobile, have attracted attention on multiple occasions with hilarious and unexpected advertising campaigns. After the internet actually broke earlier this week with the first details surrounding Deadpool 3Including the revelation that Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine in the film, Reynolds is turning everyone’s focus toward Mint Mobile in a delightful way. In a new video, which you can view below, Don Voltaggio, CEO of Arizona Ice Tea and Arizona Tea Company, announces a “partnership” between their two companies, built on the idea that AriZona’s signature iced tea hasn’t changed its prices for decades.

The video, which features Reynolds dumping AriZona tea on a cell phone, culminates in revealing that consumers will need to combine the two products themselves, rather than getting a prepackaged deal. However, the video proves to be a clever illustration of the Mint’s price point in the carrier landscape.

“We really hate risk,” Reynolds previously said of the Mint Mobile and Aviation Gin campaigns. “So, people really think we like shooting from the hip, because we move so fast and that kind of thing. But we really think this stuff goes through. We really find our guard bars. The same way I write Deadpool. It’s like, ‘Okay, What would a person who is hypersensitive to this type of material say?” What guy who doesn’t give **** anything would say? I want to find the medium where everyone feels kind of watching in that.”

“I’ve dealt with that with flying and everything else we’re working on,” Reynolds added. “Working through this lens of empathy and that guides us in a strange way. It doesn’t mean you can’t be subversive or too funny, or too risky, or at least feel too risky. But it certainly stops you from taking steps in the wrong direction. I say I know that I Prone to meddle in something I didn’t mean to meddle in like everyone else. There are mistakes.”
