The 10 original Star Trek movies are no longer being streamed anywhere

The original 10 Star Trek movies are not now available to stream anywhere in the United States. In November 2021, every Star Trek movie becomes available to stream Paramount +. Paramount+ is the exclusive premiere channel for every Star Trek TV episode ever. With Paramount+ having 13 Star Trek films, it was the first time in recent memory that fans could watch the entire series in one place. But now, the six Star Trek movies featuring Star Trek: The Original Series cast and four that comprises Star Trek: The Next Generation The Paramount+ staff left. Oddly enough, they haven’t gone to another streaming service. It is completely unavailable to stream anywhere.

Currently the only Star Trek movies left on Paramount+ in the US are the 2009 movies star trek its complement, The star slowly makes its way into the dark. The third film in the rebooted film series, Star Trek Beyondstreaming on AMC+.

As for the other movies, they will likely air again somewhere in a month or two, maybe even on Paramount+. These ins and outs are tied to the streaming deals that predate the current broadcast wars with most major studios having their own streaming platform. It’s the same reason why Marvel movies sometimes leave Disney+ and appear on another service like Netflix.

Those who want to watch the classic Star Trek movie now can count on reliable physical media. Paramount recently released a box set of the first six restored Star Trek movies in 4K for the first time. The new releases are also available on standard Blu-ray for those who do not own 4k Blu-ray players. Unfortunately, no information has been received about Star Trek: The Next Generation Movies that have received the same 4K processing so far. However, the 2009 Blu-ray Disc collection containing those movies is neither hard to find nor expensive. These films are also available to rent or buy digitally from various digital storefronts.

While the previous Star Trek films are in a streaming state, the future of the Star Trek films remains uncertain. The long-running fourth Star Trek movie featuring the Kelvin Timeline cast (Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Simon Pegg) recently lost its director, Matt Shukman, to Marvel Studios’ upcoming Fantastic Four movie. Schukman’s exit is likely the reason why Paramount Pictures removed the film from its release schedule, having previously been set for its December 2023 debut.
