Who is Namur?
The submarine has arrived.
This trailer highlights Namor, the primary antagonist of black panther 2. Despite his status as a bad guy in this footage, actor Tenoch Huerta confirmed that his water-based character walks the line a lot more than traditional villains.
“Latino Americans have always been the villains in Hollywood movies,” Huerta said in an interview last week. “And now we’re the heroes, or anti-hero, in this case.”
Regardless of his allegiances, this iteration of Namur strays slightly from the comics. His kingdom is that of Talocan, not Atlantis, and much of his design is inspired by Mesoamerican traditions. This was amplified by M’Baku stating that Namur is not called a general or king by his people, but instead “K’uk’ulkan, god of living feathers”.
While these assets aren’t an exact copy of the page, Namur’s idea doesn’t get much more comic resolution than that. He rocks his famous green trunks and winged ankles while having pointy ears.
“Eternal War…”
M’Baku warns that while Namor poses a threat to the surface world, taking him out completely is not a strategy they can implement.
“Killing him will take a risk. everlasting war.”
While M’Baku would likely only use eternal as an adjective, there are similarities between Namor’s and Marvel’s timeless group. In the last quarter of 2021 eternity, Celestial begins to emerge from the earth’s crust, but his birth is interrupted indefinitely by Cersei and his companions. Tiamut’s continuous head and hand protrude out of the Indian Ocean, but the rest of his body remains submerged in the ground.
It is unclear exactly where Talukan is, but there is a possibility that the appearance of Tiamout may have disrupted the underwater kingdom. If so, M’Baku’s “eternal” warning could be of much greater importance.
Wakanda and Talukan alliance?
Will the two kingdoms eventually meet each other?
Dora Milaje members transfer the fight to military men late in the trailer. These men appear to be the same guards that the Talocanians attacked at the beginning of the footage, leading many to believe that the Battle of Dora takes place at the same ocean base.
This could be the case of an outside party standing in the way of the Wakandan-Talokanyan conflict, leading the course with no choice but to take the fight to the armed soldiers. This, or this may come late in the movie, perhaps after an olive branch is extended between the two, this is an example of Wakanda helping Talukan by eliminating an enemy that does damage to people underwater.
As for whom these military men are siding with, the obvious answers point to a governing body of some sort, potentially linked to the United Nations. However, there is a possibility that these men work with Latveria, the fictional nation ruled by Doctor Dom. The infamous Fantastic Four antagonist is rumored to be involved in black panther 2 For months, these soldiers could be Dom’s way of making his presence felt without fully showing himself on screen.
Sharing an iron heart
The Iron Heiress is about to debut.
After debuting in the first trailer for the movie, she’s spotlighting Dominique Thorne’s Rory Williams in the latest movie. Wakanda forever Trailer, specifically the Iron Heart Shield.
Ironheart is seen gliding through the streets of Boston alongside a muscle car and motorbike driven by Okoye and Shuri respectively. This high-performance armor takes flight again later in the trailer, and gets an Iron Man-like juice boost from Avengers: Infinity War.

Towards the end of the footage, Williams can be seen next to Queen Ramunda in the throne room in Wakanda. Namur’s reflection can be seen in the window, indicating that the submarine began an attack on Wakanda.
license plate
Marvel never misses an opportunity to sneak in some important letters and numbers.
Okoye muscle car has a license plate It reads “EE 0710.” There is nothing blatant from Marvel Comics that relates to this panel, but there are some fantastical points that can be attached to Doctor Doom. Doom makes his comedic debut in Fantastic Four #5released July 1962. Doom plays an antagonistic role in Black Panther Vol. 4 No. 19, whose alternate cover was released in October 2006. He exchanged those months for numbers and the remnants of 0710.
He’s clutching at straws, but if Doom were to be involved in this movie, any hints about his presence would be largely hidden.
Another theory is that EE can be replaced by the number five, since E is the fifth letter in the alphabet. in Sub Mariner: Initiative No. 5released in October 2007, page five features Namor’s accusation of treason.
This could allude to Wakanda foreverThe larger narrative, which shows Namur’s alignment with Wakanda at the end. As shown in Black Panther (2018), These fictional states are not always on the same page. If a larger, more sinister force was manipulating Namur into making war, this page probably refers to a lecture between the feathered serpent god and the puppet master late in the film.
Enter Attum
Namur is not the only Talukani warrior.
He appeared in his full glory as Atuma, the blue-skinned Alex Livanali character. While Namur vacillates between hero and villain, Atuma is a complete antagonist in the comics. On the page, Atuma predicts the conquest of the Atlantic Empire and is often pitted against Namur. He is a member of a Berber tribe exiled from the main kingdom of Atlantis, which draws some similarities with the Jabri, the Wakandan tribe to which Mbaku belongs and which has moved away from the main Wakanda.
It is unclear whether Attuma was a friend or foe of Namor at that time Wakanda foreverbut his very existence might be planting the seed for him to become an eventual opponent in a potential namur single project.
