Cyberpunk: Edgerunners The anime has been buzzing with fans since its Netflix debut earlier this spring, and the series celebrates the central romance between David Martinez and Lucy with a special music video featuring it. Although Cyberpunk 2077 was a huge video game release with fans, the franchise got a huge new take in its arm with an all-new anime series that showed off a whole new look at Night City. Much of the hype was due to the dynamic between the two central characters in the middle of it all as their romance sparked something deeper.
That romance was a hit with fans Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Celebrating the series’ release with Netflix with a great new music video showing off David and Lucy’s relationship with the series. Taking the music video special “I Really Want To Stay At Your House” as performed by Rosa Walton (Let’s Eat My Grandma), it taps into much of what fans loved about the series in general. Evan Valentine of ComicBook.com teased the following in the official review of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (which you can find in full here), “…Edgerunners It’s a series that doesn’t shy away from extreme violence, and while some stars will meet horrific endings, Trigge was able to help make these scenes even more difficult when it inevitably happens to one of the crew members we’ve come to see over a dozen episodes. Trigger uses a fluid, lively, and crackling animation style with force along the way, helping to keep your eyes dazed on the screen for fear that you’ll miss a moving cell along the way. “
As for the series itself, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi with Hiromi Wakabayashi working as creative director, and Yoh Yoshinari as character designer and animator, with screenplay adapted from Yoshiki Usa and Masahiko Otsuka. Netflix is officially teasing the series this way, “The series tells a 10-episode stand-alone story about a street kid trying to survive in Night City – a city of the future obsessed with technology and body modification. After losing everything, he survives by being You become the edgerunner – a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.”
