We’ve seen the alleged new design of the Samsung Galaxy S23, and now it looks like accessory makers are starting early on making new compatible cases.
Galaxy S23 status anonymous, via Ice world (Opens in a new tab) And the LeakSpinner at Slashleaks (Opens in a new tab)appeared online, and it clearly mirrors the design of the leaked Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus.
It’s easy to see how the case was designed for a phone with three individual cameras on the back, similar to the look of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, rather than one larger block that houses them all, as the Galaxy S22 does.
This design appears to be present on the Galaxy S23 Ultra as well. We can see the same separate lenses included on the back of her own set of renders leaked here. This is similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
It is possible that the case in question is based on the same information we have already seen, and this is not independent evidence of the new design. However, the fact that at least one case maker is confident enough in the new design to invest in making products for it still supports the initial leaks.
Regardless of this alleged new look, it seems that there are only limited changes upside down for the base Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus. It seems that only an updated design and a new chipset are on the cards.
It’s a slightly different story on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The leaks claim that it will get a new chipset (either Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or Exynos 2300), but also an updated display, most notably a 200MP main camera, something we’ve only seen on a handful of phones so far.
We’ll find out exactly what (or not) Samsung has changed with the Galaxy S23 series in just a few months. The release date will likely be in January or early February next year. Until then, check out the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra hubs for the latest leaks and rumors.
