Caught on camera: Suspected thief wanted after camera captured woman being robbed at northeast Houston convenience store, HPD says!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – Police hope this surveillance video will help them track down the thief who stole a woman who was trying to pay a bill at a convenience store in Northeast Houston.

Investigators said the suspect entered the store in the 5500 block in Lockwood on August 1 at about 11:20 a.m.

Surveillance video captured the suspect entering the store and robbing a woman.

The woman, who police said was in her 60s, was in the store trying to pay a bill, with $220 at the counter.

The suspect snatched the money from her hands and took off in the 2012 to 2017 Hyundai Accent hatchback, according to police.

Police described the suspect as a black man last seen wearing a black Calvin Klein jacket and light-colored trousers.
