Houston crime: New video shows 2 suspects wanted in worker’s shooting death during carjacking at AM Mini Mart on Weston Street!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – Houston police released a new surveillance video showing two suspects wanted in connection with the shooting of a convenience store worker last week.

The shooting took place around 11:45 p.m. on September 27 at the AM Mini Mart at 6500 Weston Street near Kelso Street.

The newly released surveillance video shows the suspected gunman and a woman entering the store together.

Original report: Police said a gunman shot a man several times before stealing his car outside a convenience store

Police said Yogesh Sharma, 37, had closed the shop for the night and was trying to get into his car when the suspect confronted him.

Witnesses who happened to be driving said that the suspect fired several times at the victim’s car before pulling Sharma out of the driver’s seat.

Witnesses told police that the shooter then got into a gray Toyota Camry in Sharma’s car and took off.

The Camry was found abandoned the next day, according to HPD.

Police described the suspects as a young black man and a young black woman.

Police said the gunman had a short beard and was topless at the time. He wore a purple beanie, black track pants with white stripes, and tan strips.

Police said the woman had long hair and was wearing a black T-shirt and purple track pants with white stripes and black strips.

Police said the witnesses did what they could to try to help Sharma.

Wilkins said last week: “Once they got off the road, they noticed the car had been left. They felt safe enough to get back and tried to provide medical assistance to the complainant, but he died at the scene.” .

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspects is urged to call the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or speak anonymously with Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
