Nearly eight years after the first wave of Amiibo numbers appeared, Nintendo continues to support the line with new releases. While the company has yet to officially announce the next wave based on Super Smash Bros. Game UltimatePictures of two new characters have been leaked online: Sephiroth and Kazuya! Nintendo released numbers based on each fighter from the game, so it’s really no surprise that these two are on the way. However, most fans would probably expect to see Pyra and Mythra launched first since they appeared in the game before these two fighters.
The two new amiibos were shown at the Swiss Pop-Conn. The images were shared by NintendoWire on Twitter and can be found in the tweet embedded below.

While Tekken fans are sure to be excited about Kazuya getting his own amiibo, Sephiroth will definitely be the more sought after of the two. Punk has been very popular since it debuted in 1997 Final Fantasy VIIEven after killing Erith. The Super Smash Bros. Game Ultimate Amiibo has always had the appeal of its fans other than those who play the game, and Sephiroth is sure to be one that Final Fantasy fans want in their collection; This is especially true for those who already own any of the released Cloud Strife amiibo! Hopefully, Nintendo won’t keep fans waiting too long for news about when these two are expected to hit the shelves.
In addition to the new Super Smash Bros. Game Ultimate amiibo, Nintendo has three amiibo based on Splatoon 3 It is due to arrive during the holiday release window. The numbers will include blue octoling, yellow inkling, and small. While Amiibo first appeared on shelves at the height of the “play-to-life” craze, the line has far outpaced toy lines such as Skylanders, LEGO Dimensions, and Disney Infinity. Nintendo has slowed down on some of its amiibo releases compared to the line’s first few years, but it looks like the demand for numbers is still very strong!
