Spider-Man Remastered update allows users to link Steam and PSN accounts

An update for the PC version of Spider-Man: Remastered was published by Insomniac Games earlier today, and along with some performance improvements, players can now connect their PlayStation Network account to the Steam version of the game.


According to the official Correction notes Via the Steam store page, today’s update for Spider-Man: Remastered allows players to link their Steam and PlayStation Network accounts. This can only be done in-game, not through Steam, but it will give players access to the Resilient Suit and Concussive Blast Gadget, as well as two additional skill points.

“You will also receive the latest news, updates and offers from PlayStation Studios games on PC or PlayStation platforms. Account linking is optional and access to unlocked items is only available while linking accounts,” the official blog post from Insomniac Games said.

The new patch brings the game to version 1.1006.0.0, and not just for players to link their PlayStation Network account. Insomniac Games also details changes to the visual quality of ray tracing reflections, visual fixes for certain cinematics when viewed in a 32:9 aspect ratio, and much more.   • AMD FSR has been updated to version 2.1.1.
  • Changes have been made to address performance degradation when raytracing is enabled.
  • VRAM budgets have been changed to allow more use of video memory.
  • Added the option to connect to PSN in the menu.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause the screen to turn black when switching to DLAA after DLSS is set to Ultra Performance mode.
  • Fixed damage to low resolution ray tracing reflections when screen area reflections were also enabled.
  • Low flicker in ray tracing reflections when DLSS or DLAA is enabled.
  • Fixed corruption in ray tracing reflections on Intel ARC GPUs.
  • Minor visual fixes for some cinematics with a 32:9 aspect ratio.
