The Born Again must introduce one of the character’s most ferocious villains

Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again will soon begin filming, giving fans of Man Without Fear 18 episodes of street-level goodness. So far, not much has been revealed about the series itself other than the fact that Charlie Cox will reprise his role as the bodyguard of the same name while Vincent Donofrio’s Wilson Fisk will also return. With the show’s first season going to be Marvel Studios’ longest-running project to date, it makes sense that there will be more villains than Kingpin.

Combine that fact with the idea that Daredevil has one of the most intriguing Rogue exhibits in the entire Marvel stable, one might hope House of Ideas delves into character myths to adapt one of the most ferocious villains: the Tenfingers.

Who is Tenfingers?

At one point, the Tenfingers found himself as a member of The Hand, though he soon left the ninja clan to form his own cult. By the time readers see the villain for the first time reckless #1 (2015) from Charles Soule and Ron Garney, supervising The Sheltering Hands Church. Throughout the storyline of his first story, the Tenfingers and his close associates of the Sheltering Hands establish themselves as a formidable criminal boss in New York’s Chinatown.

How will Tenfingers be tied? born again?

Since The Church of the Sheltering Hands is effectively one of the big organized crime families, there’s a chance that the Tenfingers and Kingpin could either converge as warring gang lords or the former might work for the latter. Either way, given that Tenfingers has a history with The Hand and masquerades as a mystical streak, his inclusion in the series could provide more depth than one might expect from a street-level sitcom.

Conveniently, the Church of The Sheltering Hands is also the home of Samuel Chong, the fan-favorite superhero known as the Blindspot.
