It’s official: The Wizards are coming to AMC+ in January. On Thursday, AMC+ released the first trailer for the upcoming series in the Immortal Universe, Ann Rice Mayfair The Wizards With the trailer confirming that the eagerly anticipated series will start on Thursday, January 5th. The trailer also featured the best look yet in the series, an adaptation of the Anne Rice trilogy Life of a Wizard in Mayfair It offered more ideas about what fans can expect when the magic hour arrives. Ann Rice Mayfair The Wizards It centers around Dr. Rowan Fielding (Alexandra Daddario), a brilliant neurosurgeon who discovers she’s the unexpected heiress to a family of witches. As she wrestles with her newfound powers, she must contend with a villain that has haunted her family for generations. The series is written by Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford, and stars Harry Hamlin, Annabeth Gish, Tonji Chirisa, Beth Grant, Jane Richards and Jack Huston.
“Season 1 starts where the book begins, in the same mood as New Orleans and the kind of ghost story for this house,” show host Esta Spalding previously said of the series. “We meet very quickly, Rowan Fielding, the main character in the first book and through the series.”
She continued, “The middle section is 300 or 400 pages from 13 generations of witches going back to Scotland. We used a portion of that and then we feel like we’re going to save some of that great story and that story for all the different generations in later seasons, should we be so lucky. “.
