Chicago — Chicago photographers meet twice a year in hopes of capturing the perfect photo.

During both the spring and fall equinoxes, the stars and architecture aligning and framing the sun are perfect among Chicago’s grid system buildings.

Several photographers prepared early hours to observe their place for a chance to snap what is known as “Chicagohenge”. This astronomical event has become a meeting ground for photographers.

“This is the time when we know we can all get out here to be around other photographers,” said photographer Fashion Jordan. “Sometimes we go out and it’s a nice shot, sometimes we go out we might miss it, but being around other photographers is something we always look forward to.”

The next opportunity to catch a Chicagohenge will be Spring 2023.
