warning! The following contains spoilers from Walker: Independence The series premiere. Read at your own risk!
I went to Series premiere Walker: Independence I know very well that I am not exactly the target audience for this new show. Definitely, I love watching Cordell Walker Bust heads from time to time Walker, but to watch his predecessors do it all in the late nineteenth century? I’m more of a sci-fi and Arrowverse guy than I would be a Western guy (even when The set of pictures looks beautiful), but oddly enough, I couldn’t help but find it Katherine McNamaraThe new CW series is attractive.
Many fans of the CW superhero will probably realize that Kat McNamara was at one point in a position to be the next star in the Arrowverse series, but it’s the spin-off that she reprized her role as Mia Smoak. Currently, It is in Walker: IndependenceAnd while it’s there Abigail Walker You haven’t used your bow and arrow yet, you’ve done enough to show that this is a series worth checking out if you’re a fan of the superhero genre.
Kat McNamara is already showing some real promises like Abigail
Walker: Independence It was only the series premiere, so I don’t want to jump to conclusions. I think it’s fair to say, however, that there is some great potential with Kat McNamara’s leading character. While Abigail is in a position to be at the mercy of those who help her in the wake of her husband’s brutal murder, there is a quiet strength building that has me excited. Much of this is attributed to McNamara’s performance, as she clearly knew how to walk that line between a grieving widow and a woman out for revenge. This can’t be easy, and it’s nice to see that she’s the star of her own series now, even if she’s not Mia Smoak Arrow spainoff where the fans You see her character evolving more.
The cast is really likable
The key to a successful Arrowverse show is its lovable cast, and I think that applies to other CW shows as well. Walker: Independence I really got off to a strong start with Abigail from Kat McNamara, but I was also an instant fan of her Matt Bar‘s Hoyt Rollins. The chemistry between Hoyt and Abigail at the series premiere is instant, and while this situation sounds more like a partnership than a romance, it’s easy to guess how much fun you’ll have when seeing them grow up as friends, and maybe more in the future. road. I’m also definitely excited to see more Lawrence Cow‘s KaiBeside Katie Findley‘s Kate. I’m sure more actors will stand out as season one continues, and I’m looking forward to seeing who catches my eye.
Balancing work with drama at a steady pace
As I mentioned, I’m not a big western guy, which means I’m not familiar with how these shows work. However, I assumed they were a little slower compared to a show like ArrowThe characters spend more time talking than drawing weapons and making fists. This series premiere obviously should have set the stage for what’s to come, but even so, it manages to balance a lot of dialogue with a great deal of action. Again, this may be the norm in the genre, but for a newcomer like me, I liked what I saw and I’m willing to stick with it Walker: Independence Based on that alone. I’ve invested in seeing how it turns out this season, so I hope the Arrowverse fan in me will continue to be a fan.
he caught me Walker: Independence on CW Thursdays at 9:00 pm ET. It, along with many other shows on the 2022 TV schedule, is getting a lot of attention this fall season, so be sure to keep an eye on all that’s coming up in the coming months!
