Good Samaritans save wandering child from drowning at Cabo San Lucas Apartments pool in southeast Houston, police say!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – A young boy was rescued from drowning in a swimming pool at an apartment complex in southeast Houston Saturday afternoon, police said.

Houston Police Department officers responded to a possible drowning call at the Cabo San Lucas apartments near Bay Highway and Ledge Street.

Upon arrival, police said they discovered a young child who had wandered outside the apartment he was living in and had fallen into the swimming pool.

Fortunately, a nurse who left to go to work heard the commotion and another resident jumped into the pool to save the baby, HPD said.

HPD said the nurse was able to perform CPR on the young child, who was taken to the hospital.

Authorities said the child was breathing and conscious when taken.
