Josh Alexander retains world influencer title, facing back bully Ray

The main event for Impact Wrestling’s Bound For Glory was the Impact World Championship, where Champion Josh Alexander faced Honor No More’s Eddie Edwards. The match was as physical and exciting as you would expect from these two superstars, but after fighting through a bloody face and more, Alexander retained his title, only to be attacked by Honor No More. He’ll get some unexpected help though as Bully Ray headed into the ring, which helped clear the ring, and then the two would end up staring hard as the event drew to a close.

While Ray would end up helping Alexander clear the Honor No More ring, who were planning to put him through a table, he also made sure to hold the Impact World Championship for a while and started going back and forth with Alexander Bully Ray. He is overheard telling Alexander that he’s here to get him up on his game, and then asks him if he knows who he is. Bully Ray said he didn’t even have to ask that question, then said “Do you know that smile on your face? Look? I’m smiling too. You want your star? Take it!”

After the action went off the air, Bully Ray and Alexander handed out some final punishment to Mike Bennett, who came to the ring only to receive punches from Alexander and then was hit through the table by both stars. Honor No More managed to bring Alexander down by massive numbers when Ray came to the ring, and at first, everyone thought he was shooting his shot at the title at the time and there like Moss when Alexander won the title for the first time.

Ray won that chance earlier in the night, but didn’t call his shot tonight. Instead, Alexander helped, but he has his eyes set on the title and you can probably expect this match to happen sooner rather than later.
