Overwatch 2 releases an animated short for new hero Kiriko

New short animated film for Monitor 2 It reveals more about Kiriko’s life and powers and it’s kind of tearful. The Overwatch series has made a lot of fans simply with its beautiful animated shorts. This has allowed Blizzard to add more backstory to some of the most beloved heroes, expand the lore of the world, and just let people enjoy something even if they aren’t familiar with the games. They have their own perks and almost resemble those incredibly well-made shorts from the beginning of the Pixar movie. The latest short film just proves it and doubles down on the power of the animation medium.

During TwitchCon, Blizzard released a new short story about Monitor 2Another hero, Kiriko. The hero is a young woman in the support class who can heal allies. All her powers are expertly shown in this new short film that brings her back to her apartment with donuts and encounters a maintenance worker with his deaf granddaughter. Her mother ambushes her with concerns about the location of her apartment. Then the borrowed sharks attack the old maintenance worker, prompting Kiriko to jump into action. She uses her launchers, agility, and teleportation skills to make quick work of her enemies, even using her healing abilities to revive a maintenance worker after being shot. It has great action and beautiful character action, so if you are a fan Monitor 2 (or just like the cartoon short), it’s definitely worth a watch!

Monitor 2 It’s been a hard week away from this short show. The game launched and was instantly hit by a DDoS attack and was plagued with some controversial choices. One of the biggest issues was requiring a phone number to log in as a way to prevent cheaters from creating new accounts if they were banned. This requirement has been removed for those who had a Battle.net account prior to the release of Monitor 2, but new players will still need one. Blizzard is still working on ensuring stability in the game, but some players are still having problems.
