‘awesome!’ Jamie Lee Curtis admits why she doesn’t watch ‘horrific’ Halloween movies | movies | entertainment

The continuity of Halloween is very complex with 12 films across five different timelines. The original narration saw Curtis star in the first two Halloween movies before some of the other parts aren’t well remembered without her. Two decades later, Laurie stars back in Halloween H20: 20 Years Later and Halloween Resurrection, the direct sequel to 1981’s Halloween II — the one she reveals as Michael’s sister.

By its 40th anniversary in 2018, Curtis was persuaded to re-enact Laurie in a direct sequel to the original 1978 movie only, which was also called Halloween.

In this third timeline, she’s just an unrelated babysitter to Michael and the slasher escapes from prison after four decades behind bars.

Last year’s Halloween Kills was the third movie in this timeline, and now the epilogue is about to hit cinemas this weekend with Halloween Ends. Although we very much doubt that this is the end of the famous horror franchise.

While speaking with Greatest Hits Radio, the 63-year-old was asked why she wanted to go back to playing Laurie again, 44 years after the original John Carpenter movie.

When asked if she had actually finished the Halloween movies, Curtis added, “There is an end to the final word. I mean the last girl is the closing statement. So when you study in America and you finish the semester they give you [your final results]. I’ll just go with the word final… That’s very final.”
