Netflix Avatar Airbender’s Last Star Ready For Fans To Meet King Bumi

Earlier this year, Netflix live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender revealed the full cast, leading to speculation about which actors will play the characters. While the mod has yet to reveal its release date, leaving fans wondering when this new game on Aang and the company will hit the streaming service, the actor who will play King Bumi has revealed the ground-breaking process and why fans should be confident in his point.

Fans of the Avatar series know how important Bumi is to the series, as Earth benders shocked Aang and his friends by revealing that he’s still ripped apart despite his age. With some serious power, Bumi’s acting for the live action series shocked many as Ambudkar is far from looking like an old man, but the actor has made sure to reassure hunched fans as he recently stated in an interview with Comic Book Resources The make-up process was very intense. Ambudkar mentioned how long he’s been in the makeup chair, while also revealing that fans will be happy with what they’ll get in the end:

“It was six hours in a chair turning into a bumi king and I think people will be really happy when they see the series.”

Bumi was one of the only characters who managed to be a part of Aang’s life before and after the avatar found himself surrounded by a block of ice, and will remain a staunch ally of the protagonist. The Land Bender was such a huge influence on Aang, especially with him joining the White Lotus to provide so much help during the first final series, that the avatar would end up naming one of his sons after Bumi who fans would meet in The Legend of Korra. Much like the name itself, Ben Aang had more than a few personality traits in line with the Earth bends of the past.

While a release date for Netflix’s The Last Airbender avatar hasn’t been revealed, the streaming service revealed the full cast earlier this fall.

Do you think Utkarch will succeed in getting rid of the 112-year-old Bumi? Feel free to tell us in the comments or hit me up directly on Twitter @EVComedy to talk about all things comedy, anime, and the world of bending.
