Dwayne Johnson is a level of celebrity beyond just a movie star. While he recently announced that he is not currently considering running for President of the United States, the fact that this Johnson idea has been raised shows the level of fame he really enjoys. It’s also the level of fame where people want to hold their kids, and are willing to collectively surf their kids to make it happen.
The Rock was recently in Mexico to promote the release of black Adam When the father of a child in the crowd wanted the star to hold the child. Since he wasn’t standing next to Johnson, he had to pass the baby over several people’s head, and the baby ends up rambling his way into the rock’s arms. The Rock shared the video with Instagram. check it out.
The picture is equal parts sweet and weird. Dwayne Johnson is clearly great with her. He has a big smile on his face and takes the baby in his arms warmly. The crowd loves it too as you can hear their roar rising as they pick up the baby. We know The Rock is just as good with kids as we’ve seen him with his kids.
He definitely shows a great deal of confidence not only in Dwayne Johnson, but in all the other people at the event, that this dad was willing to let his child go and be put up with by a group of strangers. The worst case scenario here could have been bad. Although I would be more than willing to let Dwayne Johnson hold my baby if he was so inclined, I’m not sure I would be willing to surf the baby through strangers to make it happen.
Probably the wildest part of the entire exchange was Johnson’s comment in the accompanying post that he was not surprised he was handed a real baby by someone in this crowd. He’s used to seeing people have emotional reactions to him and handing things over to him. While Johnson says he initially thought this baby was a doll, which is very small, and therefore small, so it’s not hard to make that mistake. However, this is all the more reason that letting a child go for group browsing is a bit extreme.
But it’s clear that keeping his daughter was a big problem for the father. In a few years, a child will be able to watch that video of herself in the arms of Dwayne Johnson, and even if Johnson wasn’t the biggest star in the world at that point, (he probably still will) he’s still old enough for a kid to understand what the moment was. So was Dwayne Johnson.
